A space filled with a mix of new, currently owned, antique or one-of-a-kind pieces makes a room feel well loved ~ nancy
I was out running errands and decided to stop in a local antique store it was dark rainy cold and windy out but there was a parking spot right in front of the store …
Shopping at antique stores or flea markets for me has a lot to do with the experience, the unexpected find and the purchase, it’s just a fun way to shop. It’s good to be somewhat focused on what you need to curb the impulse purchase ~ I did have my mind set on finding some sort of art for the walls in this home office ~ so with an open mind I searched through the store and stumbled upon this set of mirrors. The owner had them off to the side because they just came in, we talked price and in the car they went. A little cleaning was necessary but I didn’t fix any of the imperfections because to me that is the beauty of the piece.
In this home office the furniture is very clean lined especially the pieces from Ikea. Combining the Antique Mirrors with the modern furnishings added the unexpected pop of color and personality. But one word of caution, it has to be the right piece. Here the mirrors are large, bold and graphic which offset the large furniture pieces while keeping with the feel of the room.
