Questions??? gray paint colors …
gray paint colors are trending, so here’s a few to take into consideration for your home.
Curio Gray – warm colors to go with curio gray?
Below Curio Gray has been used as an accent in the built-in bookcases, Accessible Beige SW 7036 for the walls and Elder White SW 7014 for the trim. Accent pieces and furnishings in the room are a combination of warm and cool tones ranging from blue to gray and white with rattan pieces added for texture all grounded by warm wood flooring.
In this room, to warm up the space even further you could easily switch out the accessories to incorporate shades of red and sage with black accents in picture frames or accent furniture.
Curio Gray SW 0024 is part of Sherwin-Williams HGTV Home Coastal Cool Collection and Victorian Preservation Palette®.
Below for HTGV Dream Home 2013, Curio Gray has been paired with SW 6716 Dancing Green and SW 7006 Extra White.
my tip ~
Try the Sherwin-Williams Color Visualizer, it is a fantastic tool that allows you upload one of your photos or use their templates, then drop your color choices into the picture, its simple to use and really gives you a good idea of what paint combinations will look like.
Sherwin-Williams also suggests Ruskin Room Green SW0042, Bunglehouse Blue SW0048, Antiquarian Brown SW0045 to be combined with Curio Gray.
And more gray paint colors from Benjamin Moore:
Sidewalk Gray 23-60
Benjamin Moore: This color is part of Color Preview. A collection of bold, saturated colors that brings spaces to life for those looking to illuminate their world with pure, extraordinary color. A great complement to Classic Colors, Color Preview offers a collection of 1,232 hues that excite and inspire with pure, deep, clear colors that create striking combinations.
my tip ~
Gray can skew in tone from purple to taupe to olive to blue and somewhere in between them all, but Sidewalk Gray seems to be a pure cool pale gray (depending on your lighting).
Revere Pewter HC-72
Benjamin Moore: A light gray with warm undertones, this classic shade creates a unifying look that calms and restores. A great transitional color, it’s perfect for an open floor plan. Part of the Candice Olson Designer Picks Collection.
my tip ~
Because of the complex undertones of Revere Pewter I would pair it with Super White trim, keeping the look clean and crisp.
Benjamin Moore: A go-to gray paint color that’s timeless with a modern edge, this earthy, organic neutral is soft and stylish, creating a setting that feels distinctly personal. It is part of the Candice Olson Designer Picks collection.
my tip ~
Edgecomb Gray is a definite go to neutral, perfect for just about any space, it provides a beautiful backdrop for any accent color.
As pictured below Edgecomb Gray can also take a backseat to a bolder paint color making it a good choice to integrate throughout a homes overall palette.
next week paint color questions ~ blues, greens & blue/greens maybe a little lavender too!
