a dining room with personality … complete with french doors that open onto a terrace and featuring an oversized Ikea print.

I just love this vignette, this would be my ideal way to entertain.
Other than just loving this, the one thing I find so fascinating is the Ikea print. The mixing of this affordable print into an otherwise expensive dining space is brilliant. When you know what your space it about and how to bring it together it’s not about a price tag … it’s about your personality.
A dedicated dining room is still common in homes today … but often times that space needs to be in a double duty status.
Taking a cue from the amazing Dining Room above, if you have a small space I could easily see having in storage & ready to go at a moments notice ~
a round folding table for example from any big box store
along with a dedicated table cloth and table top accessories
candles (i like Ikea’s candles)
when not in use, the dining chairs can be integrated into the living space for additional seating.
This way you are ready to entertain with elegance … or use the space for a reading or homework area.
