Fabrics and Fashion …
The two are so intertwined.
The fabric below is one of my favorites from kravet, and then I saw these shoes from J. Crew, I love them too!
Cut out designs are so unexpected, bold and chic, full of pattern and texture without being loud.
Fabrics and fashion makes sense, right? So next time you’re looking for inspiration or can’t decide “what you like” take a peek in your closet you will find lots of answers there …
I’m gearing up to refresh my first floor and am going to add some much-needed color. we’ve been in our home for 19 years and over the years the first floor rooms (lr, dr, k, foyer, family room, powder room) have been painted many times. beginning with a totally neutral palette, then a bit deeper, then a combination of neutral with gray (which is what it is now).
We’ve had a custom cream color from Benjamin Moore, restrained gold from Sherwin-Williams in the dining room, linen white, Philadelphia Cream, Edgecombe Gray, Eternity and Cork from Benjamin Moore, all with Benjamin Moore super white moldings, I don’t think I forgot any but maybe, oh yes I did a few sage green colors too, hehehehehehe.
I have a pretty good idea of where I’m going, I’m going to add blues + greens to a soft palette with pops of bright colors.
Which brings me back to looking in your closet for inspiration … those are my colors on all the hangers … lots of blue with pops of bright colors.
