Foyers design can be a daunting task to design … for some great ideas, check out this amazing foyer design from Kate Moss’s home.

I just love this entryway it exudes personality, comfort and warmth; it’s understated yet grand all with a welcoming feel.
This may be a little lofty for most of us but the great thing is we can adapt elements from the design into our own homes.
my take away(s) ~
The color palette
Using two colors in the entryway, the rich taupe on the first floor and white going up the steps.
- -This technique could be easily adapted or flip it … in many foyers the second floor hallway is visible if there is plenty of light consider painting the second floor a shade or two deeper then the first floor.
The artwork going up the stairs is so magnificent. the choice of color tones in the artwork marry the first floor as they subtly carry you right up stairs.
- -Artwork is fun to find and display, it adds color and energy to a space.
Accessories + Accent furniture
All so unexpected and yet perfect for the space, full of personality combining bling and warmth.
- -Add your personality to your foyer make it a space that speaks to your lifestyle.
My practical thinking tips ~
Keep in mind your front door color … you may need to change it, because when the door is open the door becomes a big dose of color in your foyer.
Things to consider before embarking on a foyer transformation …
Do you have a 2-story foyer or do you have low ceilings, does your foyer open up to multiple rooms, what kind of light do you get in there, what is the size of your foyer, how does you foyer function, does your life require pet + kid friendly decorating, do you want your foyer to be for show,
The list goes on and on …..
As always, thanks for sharing your week with me! have a wonderful weekend ~ nancy
