Last year my husband and I decided to tackle our staircase …
it turned out to be a total foyer refresh plus the

It’s amazing how one decision affects the next one, especially in a foyer.
Foyers are complicated…
It’s where you greet people, it’s where you say good-bye to them too.
It’s a “public” space and it’s a private haven when you get home from a long day.
Do you need the space to be informal … a kick off your shoes and drop the book bags space?
Or do you yearn for order and style and at the same time want it to be a friendly “hello” for friends?
Do you want it to look like a model home or showcase your personality?
Do you need it to function for a family, pets, bicycle storage, stroller parking … performing double duty?
If you’re like most you’re trying to combine it all.
Seems a little overwhelming but these are all the questions a designer will take into consideration before embarking on your job, because the space needs to function for you and meet your design style.
My Tip~
Take some time and plan it out … all the details + budget …
the front end goes a little slower but the planning makes the project go much faster and it’s more enjoyable.
