I was at the semi-annual NY NOW Gift show at the Javits Center a couple of weeks ago it’s a vibrant show brimming with inspiring products! So here’s my take-away from the show, My Top 3 2016 Home Decor Trends.

Touches of Gold
No. 1: Color Color Color
From “hot salsa” colors to cool blues and pastel pinks, Color is now a major player.
Even though we still love our neutral palette and for good reason, a neutral backdrop allows us to experiment by adding colorful accessories without a major monetary commitment.
The 2016 paint colors of the year from Benjamin Moore Simply White and from Sherwin-Williams Alabaster both create an opportunity to bring in upholstered pieces, fabrics and accessories with color.

The murmur of gold nudging out silver accents has been on the horizon for a while now but at the NY NOW Gift Show it was evident, gold was the finish of the day!

No. 3: Nature Inspired products
Nature inspired products are also not a shocker but the trend has expanding into so many categories, from use of natural materials in furniture and flooring to accents pieces.
Natural wood finishes add warmth and comfort to a space.
Use of natural materials throughout this home office is sure bring a level of serenity to your work day!
