As April comes to a close we wrap up our month of master bedrooms with Get the Look of this beautiful on trend white bedroom from HouseBeautiful.com.
A white bedroom may sound simple to design but there’s a lot of decisions that go into making it look this good ~ Nancy
Design Checklist: for a white bedroom.
Walls. Trim. Ceiling.
Benjamin Moore’s Aura in a Matte Finish for walls is one that I recommend most frequently, it’s a little more expensive but worth it.
Headboard. Night Stands. Chaise. Bench.
Key to the headboard design is it’s simplicity, tufting, scale and fabric choice.
For this design and fabric choices I would recommend the Fairfax Tall Headboard from Williams-Sonoma Home, it’s available as a full bed too – then you would pass on the bedskirt.
Also pictured is the Fairfax Tufted Bench and the The Meade Night Side Table both from Williams-Sonoma Home.
Duvet. Shams. Bedskirt.
Pictured below is the Stoli Duvet and bed shams from our sister shopping site, https://IntentionalDesigns.com/Shop. Pictured in white and graphite, Stoli is perfect for this white bedroom. Take it one step further and layer your bed with our Luna Coverlette also from https://IntentionalDesigns.com/Shop in White. Then mix pillow shams from both collections. The Stoli Bedskirt is available and can be custom ordered, just let us know if your interested!
Drapery Panels. Roman Shades. Drapery Rod.
The draperies below are lined Drapery panels in a linen/cotton fabric available pleated at the top, pictured below in color “linen” but available in a pure white.
The pictured drapery panels are available from https://IntentionalDesigns.com/Shop, Snap Drapery Collection in White.
The Drapery Rod finish ties into the deeper wood tones in the bedroom.
From https://IntentionalDesigns.com/Shop our sister shopping site we carry a full line of drapery hardware.
Below is the Marley Collection a 1 3/8″ wood rod with plenty of finials to choose from, Pepper Finial pictured below in finish option Mink.
The woven wood shade adds privacy and texture to the space. I really like the Woven Wood Shade Collection from Hunter Douglas.
Fabric/Material SierraColor White Bark Pine
Area Rug. Mirrors. Lamps. Accent Pillows. Throws. Personal Items; books, photos etc.
The textured area rug in a pale gray picks up on the bed skirt so subtle.
Wood tones are a key player in the overall cohesive feel of the master bedroom in the mirror frames, rods, bench and flooring.
The Glass Lamps play so well off the mirrored background.
Accents like throws in soft shades of whites add layers of scrumptiousness to the bedroom!
Personal finishing touches such as the flowers, photo’s and books create a bedroom that is truly your own. A super simply diy framing project, grab some of your favorite photos and head to the store to find some frames in silver.
Enjoy your weekend, and as always thanks for sharing your week with me ~ Nancy
