The trending color for 2017? … Kale Green!
Pantone released their Fashion Color Report for Spring 2017 and Kale stands out to me as a fresh new shade of green. It’s not olive nor grass but an earthy tone that will work well with many neutrals. Neutral colors ranging from gray to pale pink or shades of white, kale for the most part compliments those hues across the board.
So will Kale be hailed Color of the Year by Pantone? Regardless, I think the odds are pretty good that Kale Green will become a major player in 2017 and moving forward.
So, our color of the month … Kale Green!

My simple real life truth …
I remember the trendy greens from Hunter to Olive and Sage. And truthfully I wasn’t always a Hunter fan. But I grew-up with plenty of olive, so it’s always feels familiar for me. Sage green is a favorite of mine, it’s an easy neutral. And now I’m on board with this earthy green Kale as a welcome fresh update to the group.
So, let’s see how to integrate Kale or other dark leafy greens into our homes~
