Perfect pairing shiplap + Draperies …
Our design question of the week … “do window treatments look good with a shiplap wall?” the answer is yes!
These beautiful Ikat draperies in blue & white are a perfect addition to this Shiplap wall design.
Shiplap is a term used for original plank boards used in home building. Although the word shiplap is a broadly used term these days most shiplap walls are an added design element using MDF or wood planks. So, you can give a nod to shiplap by installing a plank wall treatment into in your room with MDF or wood planks.
Alternatively, Roman Shades are a great choice to use with Shiplap.
Since our first blog on Shiplap it has become even more popular and widely used. Most often we saw a shiplap wall painted in tones of white, then black but now the sky’s the limit! With blush pink colors trending, it makes sense to marry the two!
Simple solid drapery panels also work well with a shiplap design. Especially with this beautiful paint color, Wythe Blue by Benjamin Moore.
The term “shiplap” really came into focus through HGTV’s Fixer Upper with Chip & Joanna Gaines.
So we’ll leave you with this amazing dining room that showcases a shiplap inspired design as an architectural feature.
Notice how the simple white drapery panels frame the window and soften the horizontal lines of the shiplap.
So if your looking for just the right drapery to go with your new shiplap inspired room, we’ve got your covered @ https://IntentionalDesigs.com/Shop.
