Boring walls? Add artwork! Because it’s easier than you think to incorporate art into your rooms overall design plan. Art adds color, dimension and most of all showcases your personal style! And fixing the boring wall problem is easier than you think …
Artwork adds personal style, color, dimension, and allows you to think outside of the box.
Art in the foyer has an immediate impact allowing your personal style to shine through.
And art adds color & interest creating a cohesive interior. Notice how your eye just floats around this room? Because of the blue-green tones found in the area rug, sofa, art, and accessories, the design seems effortless and interesting.
And thinking outside of the rectangular framed art box to include pieces that have dimension.
Round mirrors have a unique dimensional quality and are also functional. In furthering the “circle design” theme, the hat below that is casually hung on the wall adds color and dimension.
Lastly, think outside of the box. Because wall art also encompasses found objects, such as the oars pictured below.
So remember to include artwork as part of your design plan.
Summing things up, even though asking the question “are your walls boring” isn’t exactly an icebreaker question … Having boring walls void of artwork could be a reason why you’re not connecting to your room. Something to think about for a Tuesday.
