Pantone released their top 12 colors for Autumn/Winter 2018 based on London’s Fashion Week. And the results are … from both sides of the pond we’re seeing a cohesive color palette.
Pantone’s Fashion Report, Top 12 Colors for Autumn/Winter 2018 based on London’s Fashion Week.
According to Pantone.com. Each season the team at the Pantone Color Institute creates the Pantone Fashion Color Trend Report. A color overview highlighting the top colors fashion designers showing at London Fashion Week.
Colors that designers will be featuring in their collections for the upcoming season.
All in all the only difference between the NY Fashion Week Palette and London is the addition of Pantone’s Mellow Rose and Pink Peacock, making up the 12 colors. With the addition of these two colors, there is a little more “playfulness” and “color range” leading to “intriguing color combinations”.
Plus a Classic Fashion Palette. Again the classic color palette remains consistent from both sides of the pond.
According to Pantone.com. While there is no ‘typical’ anymore, there remains a need for structure and foundation in everyday fashion. Serving as the critical building block as ‘trends’ stay relevant longer. And consumers look to add variety through new textures, fabrics and beautiful combinations.
So as home interior fashion continues to follow runway fashion … In the room below from Benjamin Moore take a look at the “classic” colors anchoring the room in navy, gray & white. Then the room’s palette is finalized by selecting pink wall colors.
I for one am glad that shades of pink are still part of the color palette. Even though lavender hues are coming on strong, pink I believe will remain a viable option both at home and in fashion for a long while.
