White House Christmas Decorations were unveiled Monday. So take a look at this short video for a first-hand look. And enjoy the National Christmas Tree Lighting tonight, Celebrating 96 Years!
From WhiteHouse.Gov, The First Family is celebrating their second Christmas in the White House. This year’s theme, “American Treasures” honors the unique heritage of America. Designed by First Lady Melania Trump, the White House shines with the spirit of patriotism. This home, held in trust for all Americans, displays the many splendors found across our great Nation.
White House Christmas Decorations
After 6 months of planning the White House glows with First Lady Melania Trump’s design vision. Such as in The East Wing where the Gold Star Family tree returns. And American architecture and design are showcased with four custom skyline mantelpieces. Plus the White House Creche is on display for its 51st year.
Notably, the list goes on, as each decoration has been carefully planned with significant meaning. So along with more than 30,000 visitors that will tour the White House this year, visit First Lady Melania Trump Unveils Christmas at the White House 2018 @ https://www.whitehouse.gov for further information.
Additionally, anyone interested in competing in the National Christmas Tree Contest? If so, a few fun facts. The White House Christmas Tree must stand 18-19 feet tall. And is prominently placed in the Blue Room. Because the tree will reach the ceiling, each year the chandelier is removed to accommodate the tree height.
And the winner this year … Mr. Larry Smith, from Mountain Top Fraser Fir in Newland, North Carolina. See more information regarding this year’s winner and the National Christmas Tree Association @ www.realchristmastrees.org.
