So what colors actually make Coral? Basically, coral is a mixture of red, yellow and white. And depending on how much of each you use will determine its vibrancy. For instance, adding more white, and you get a peach tone. Then, on the other hand, adding more red gives you a more orange color. Therefore, coral is a delicate balance between the three colors.
That being said, we haven’t seen coral make an appearance for quite some time. But what colors will pair well with coral? So the first thing that comes to mind for me is neutral tones. Such as Grey, White, Tan and the new kid on the home decor block Brown.
More importantly, color is making a comeback! But don’t get nervous if you are not a color person. Begin with a neutral palette and add your pop color in accessories, bedding, accent furniture, tabletop decor or paint an accent wall.
However, you can easily mix it up with color. For instance, just take a look at the complete 2019 Pantone Color Trend Report. There you will be able to visualize how a mix of colors work. From sage greens to beautiful blues, yellow and yes even pinks or reds. All in all, this isn’t the year to be shy with color.
