Cloth napkins are a beautiful addition to any table setting. Although there is an upfront investment, in the long run, you’ll use them for a very long time. In fact, I still have napkins that my Mother gave me. Although cloth napkins are not all created equal. So spending a bit more for a high-quality napkin makes all the difference. DIY Directions for folding Napkins!
Folding a Simple Pocket Napkin.
DIRECTIONS: Image 1: Begin by folding your napkin in half top to bottom, then right to left. *make sure the seams are facing down. Image 2: Peel top layer up from the bottom left to top right. Image 3: Turn it over. Image 4: Fold left side a little more than halfway over. This exposes a little pocket at the bottom. Image 5: Fold the right side over to the left and tuck it into the little pocket. Image 6: Turn it over and there you have your pocket napkin!

Then I came across the napkin image below at Ikea.com. And I really liked the folded design so, I decided to give it a try.
It was surprisingly easy to fold and I think it would lend it’s self to a lot of fun applications. I put a few sprigs of rosemary in mine for a holiday vibe. As a side note, Rosemary is super easy to grow and lasts pretty well throughout the winter here in PA.
DIRECTIONS: It basically starts out the same as t the folded napkin. Image 1: Begin by folding your napkin in half top to bottom, then right to left. *make sure the seams are facing down. Image 2: Peel top layer up from the bottom left to top right. Image 3: Then peel the second layer up from the bottom left to top right. Image 4: And again peel the last layer up from the bottom left to top right. Image 5: Turn it over. Image 6: Fold the left and right corner into the middle. Image 7: Turn it over again, and you’re done!
