Pink Home Decor has been on trend for quite some time. Especially since Pantone announced Rose Quartz as their Color of the Year in 2016. Although “Millennial Pink” has cooled off as a top trend, pink has always been a favorite among consumers. However, pink is no longer quarantined to nurseries or bedrooms, although, it’s still a great option! Pink has found its way into living rooms, family rooms, kitchens, teen bedrooms & offices alike. And of course, pink is on the rise in paint colors, bedding & home decor accessories as well.
Pink Home Decor
So we begin with our first pink home decor color crush … paint! Select a soft pink paint color such as Benjamin Moore’s Pleasant Pink 2094-60.
Second, definitely has to be pink draperies. Pink Draperies provide a soft contrast to neutral rooms. Take a look at our Snap Drapery Collection @ our Home Design Shop, IntentionalDesigns.com. Snap is available in 16 color options and one of my favorites is Tearose!
Third, adding patterned fabrics that bring pink into the design. The bedroom below has such a fun mix of colors from the Benjamin Moore wall color, Caribbean Blue to the upholstered headboards, bedding, pillows & area rug.
Last but certainly not least, accessories such as area rugs. Notice how the pink area rug below just brings the entire room together.
So the challenge with pink since it was the go-to for a nursery (and still is a popular choice) was to elevate the way we add pink in other rooms of the home. And pink home decor delivers, by keeping things sophisticated with a sense of whimsy. Pink paint colors are actually a warm neutral that can easily be paired with other colors. And from furnishings such as a sofa or chair to draperies, accessories or paint, pink is now at home in every room of the house. As you can see adding pink to your home decor design is pretty easy!
