Fall Organizing is upon us! And with the kids back to school and settled into a new routine. Coupled with various Holidays underway and yet to come, it’s the perfect time to get your house ready. That being said, with the Fall season comes lots of nesting at home after a busy summer of playing outside. So here are 2 quick refresh ideas that top our to-do list @ home.
Fall Organizing @ Home in 2 Quick Steps
First, storage, storage, and more storage … who doesn’t want more storage! So the key here is organized storage. And yes, this does require upfront time to plan, but it’s worth the investment. Because once it’s done right, it’s done, period. Then you can move on to the next project. The trick is to have a plan but tackle only what you’ve budgeted for and can finish.
Update toy storage with low shelving for easy access and clean-up.
Second, once you’ve got your stuff organized, take inventory of your rooms. And this is really fun and easy. Just walk through each room and make a detailed “wish list”. This way you can prioritize and prepare a budget for each space. Keep in mind that your “wish list” doesn’t need to be accomplished all at once. However, it’s a good way to keep track of what you’ve completed and what still needs to get done.
Fall Organizing areas.
Entertaining areas are a good place to begin for the Fall. Just because you will be using them more in the Fall/Winter months. So take a look around, do you need more seating? Or is your lighting ready for an update? What about window coverings, paint & accessories?
In conclusion, whatever you decide to do to get your house ready for the Fall works! Because sometimes just a couple of decorative pillows will make you happy!
